Bernard Joshua & Annette Kirabira
Gospel Tabernacle/Lasting Impact Ministries

Ministry Type: Church

Ministry Description:

Joined FMIN: February 2006

Biography: Bernard's ministry started in 1989 almost without his noticing, as he was invited to preach while still at college and then discovered he was booked for a number of Sundays. Other local churches then invited him to preach for revival meetings. He launched Lasting Impact Ministries in January 1990 with the aim to do crusades, plant churches and provide leadership training. Bernard and Annette planted Gospel Tabernacle Church on May 18, 2003, with eight people and is currently three hundred and fifty strong.

Gospel Tabernacle is a community-based, Christ-founded ministry, on the outskirts of Kampala, in a suburb called Bwaise. It is a slum area with a dense population, with high unemployment and low education levels. From this region the Gospel Tabernacle and Lasting Impact Ministries mission is reaching out to nations to win souls and disciple them for Christ.

Strengths: Bernard exhibits strength and anointing in the use of the Gifts of the Spirit, while Annette's ministry focus is to married couples.
